hi, long time reader first time poster. if post in wrong section, apologies in advance , may mods move somewhere more appropriate. try cut issue short possible: 1 day realised 2011 15" mbp wouldn't start. through series of coincidence, trial , error , luck worked out if put mbp on heat mat few minutes. (thus gently warming bottom of machine) press button , turn on without issue. so, when power button pressed mbp doing temperature check , deciding, wrongly, temperature low , won't turn on. heat unit bit, heat test , well. (at least assume that's happening) there way can fix this? maybe turn off heat test on startup? , if so, how? have tried search issue elsewhere , can't find else same issue. genius bar stunned bizarre development. wonder if many people have issue , won't turn on, person loony enough try heating bottom of unit... things have tried: - resetting pram nvram etc - new battery (since needed 1 anyway, , genius bar

i wanted give insight community happens when decide it's time roll beta on iphone, means restore of iphone, followed reset of apple watch paired it. have series 3 lte watch , concerned how plan carrier work resetting watch , pairing again. turns out, works people! when go reset watch in settings>general, watch read text explaining can remove or keep cellular plan, if remove need call carrier cancel subscription ($10 month on att me). after reading through this, options @ final screen has red buttons erase all. "erase all" options , "erase , keep plan". opted keep plan since want use cellular again upon repairing. restored iphone 11.0.1 11.1 beta, , phone asked me pair apple watch again. process same before, pair watch , choose recovery backup icloud in watch app. towards end of process, screen came on hopeful for... cellular ready - can use apple watch number used iphone - ... day. watch , phone both finishing restores now.

let me preface saying first mac, i'm not aware of usual mac troubleshooting steps other obligatory shutdown/restart. if there other basic steps need take, please let me know. on problem... on morning of september 24th, used macbook light computing (internet browsing , music). when finished, closed lid , plugged power cord mac i've done every single time since purchased macbook in june. later day, unplugged mac , opened lid. however, unlike every other time i've done this, computer did not power on/wake up. pressed power button , received no response. did quick search , found hold power button 10 seconds, release, , press again. did trick , didn't think else it. after all, updating high sierra next day , quirky setting surely remedied, right? installed high sierra following day , macbook functioned normally. used off , on several times. each time, closed lid when finished , resumed when opened. fast-forward today , again, laptop not r

with every major ios update, i've read people complaining , describing serious problems after updating. fortunately, every ios update has been smooth me… until ios 11 iphone 6s plus. first moment after updating, performance pretty bad (unresponsive phone few seconds , wide variety of bugs , glitches). didn't worry much, device background processing after major update (reindexing, photo processing, etc.). after leaving device charging , connected wi-fi night (different timezone here), found still worked terribly , had decided delete photos (they're in icloud photo library, nothing lost). decided restart phone, , huge mistake. got stuck on apple logo screen , after while forced restore using itunes. thing had backup before updating. after losing few hours in process of restoring (which meant restoring apple watch, etc. — not great way of starting morning), iphone 6s plus still working disappointingly slow. mean, it's usable, it's working

i'm using imap , want see subfolders of mailboxes under them. default folders setup in mailbox behaviours under inbox/junk/drafts/etc. problem new subfolders moved under separate section. mail restarted multiple times , tried creating subfolders on server , in mail , it's same. working in past haven't done in sierra before. old mailbox: created subfolders , added under account's inbox. new mailbox: subfolders added under separate section. ideas on how custom subfolders displayed under mailbox inbox?   i may have wrong , welcome correction others. imap, believe there "folders" "up above" exist on mac "reflection of" on isp's server.... and, ...there "local folders" exist on mac (that save copies of emails locally). when make "a new mailbox", creating "local folder" on mac only. , emails put each folder -cop
