Mail.app: Subfolders not showing under Inbox but under own section


i'm using imap , want see subfolders of mailboxes under them. default folders setup in mailbox behaviours under inbox/junk/drafts/etc. problem new subfolders moved under separate section. mail restarted multiple times , tried creating subfolders on server , in mail , it's same.

working in past haven't done in sierra before.

old mailbox: created subfolders , added under account's inbox.
new mailbox: subfolders added under separate section.

ideas on how custom subfolders displayed under mailbox inbox?
 

i may have wrong , welcome correction others.

imap, believe there "folders" "up above" exist on mac "reflection of" on isp's server....
and,
...there "local folders" exist on mac (that save copies of emails locally).

when make "a new mailbox", creating "local folder" on mac only. , emails put each folder -copies of- emails exist "on server".

since on mac (only) , not "on server", that's why go second group of folders in "on mac" area.

again, welcome correction if explanation wrong.
(i'm pop user until pop isn't there anymore use!)

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
