SSD for Clamshell


i've gotten hands on few clamshell ibooks i'm cleaning up/restoring give out gifts couple of enthusiast friends. part of plan replace 20 year old hard drives , swap them out ssd of sort.

there recommendations on pata drives should use? know kingdoan 1 seems popular , had 1 dud. thinking of going msata + adapter route or vein using compact flash card + adapter.

input on route should take?

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
