let me preface saying first mac, i'm not aware of usual mac troubleshooting steps other obligatory shutdown/restart. if there other basic steps need take, please let me know.
on problem...
on morning of september 24th, used macbook light computing (internet browsing , music). when finished, closed lid , plugged power cord mac i've done every single time since purchased macbook in june.
later day, unplugged mac , opened lid. however, unlike every other time i've done this, computer did not power on/wake up. pressed power button , received no response. did quick search , found hold power button 10 seconds, release, , press again. did trick , didn't think else it. after all, updating high sierra next day , quirky setting surely remedied, right?
installed high sierra following day , macbook functioned normally. used off , on several times. each time, closed lid when finished , resumed when opened.
fast-forward today , again, laptop not resume automatically when opening lid. had hold power button 10 seconds, release, , press again computer boot.
may unrelated, took computer 5 minutes find wi-fi network when booted time. i've had issues wi-fi connectivity couple of months , have opened ticket apple. hoping high sierra installation fix connection dropping issue, remains seen @ point.
is macbook connected charger when close lid? plenty of battery power before closing lid?
