Downsize from Imac to macbook air


i have old imac , got macbook air. of course imac drive larger macbook air. don't want transfer music, pictures, documents , applications. don't think of music , pics fit on macbook air. guestion options transfer , do if macbook can't hold of music? can put on usb drive , access through photos or itunes? still learning.
 

i don't understand need have of one's stuff on both macs.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
