ive had watch couple of days, , today first day took work. track daily steps. in past have been using iphone in pocket. on wrist, i'm not sure if can fix accuracy. maybe if understood how tracks steps. day 1 @ home watch seemed pretty accurate iphone used read. i bought external hard drive ( silicon power shockproof 1t drive ) backup drive. want partition half of time machine , half of storage. started disk utility , partition button grayed out. after looking through forums, realized had erase drive in order partition (it came fat32 file system). able erase physical volume partition button still gray tried erase physical disk disk utility give me error when try this. output erase operation is: unmounting disk wiping volume data prevent future accidental probing failed operation failed...​ put dialog box saying: the disk inserted not readable computer. ​ 3 buttons on dialog box include "initialize", "ignore", , "eject". when choose "initialize" nothing. i've tried several times. ideas may going on? or drive bad? i'm getting refurbished 6,1 .. can't wait year+ new mp drop , i'm not interested in in 1 imac @ all... not new pros coming out in few months. have project i'm in middle of , sold mbp due fan noise , cpu power, have ton of thunderbolt expansion bays, docks.. old mac pros out. stuck current mac pro. plan on using till new mac pros come out in year or , sell mac pro fund it. wondering resale value based on gpu alone, cpu, etc.. can upgraded. d300 , feel i'll better return on d500/d700 in future. here refurb prices +tax , difference 6core different video cards. 2,674.16 6 core d300 2,956.91 6 core d500 +283 d300 3,141.79 6 core d700 +184 d500 / +467 d300   once new mmp comes out 6,1 not worth much. reason earlier mac pros kept value immensely upgradable new hard drives, more memory, better video cards, etc. 6,1, on other hand, bad imac in upgrade department , there nothing de

hi guys, i've been running late 2009 27" imac samsung 840 ssd (replacing superdrive) on sierra. i've had persistent problems while booting 'prohibitory' symbol. second or third restart boots successfully. running disk utility reports no errors. unable find solution problem. clean install did trick while reoccur. i've installed high sierra after installing little snitch , rebooting i'm hitting prohibitory sign again. imac boots sierra recovery partition unable see drive it's formatted apfs now. ideas... 1) how can create high sierra recovery partition on 1 of other hd's in imac? 2) shouldn't 10.13 recovery partition have been created on ssd in first place? 3) little snitch causing 'prohibitory' boot issues? appreciated!   Forums Macs macOS ma

not sure if there thread out there on already, wonder if out there agrees me or if totally crazy.... pre-ordered 256gb iphone 8 morning (unnecessarily @ 3 est). have 128gb 6s on iup, unfortunately had purchase month before iphone 7 launched, still had year worth of payments left. me, upgrade worthwhile better internals, wireless charging, fast charging capability, , increased storage same monthly payment. design of x (minus notch) , wrestled decision couple of days whether go 8 or wait of x, , came with: 1) price - while sharp, cannot justify additional $200 dollars phone same internally. yes screen , camera upgrades, fine lcd , single lens. 2) face id - i can't buy this. maybe crazy, ability unlock phone picking more convenient having hold , swipe. also, being new technology apple, there bound bumps in road need corrected on several software updates. 3) timing - the pre-order window delayed more month, severe supply constraints forecasted. goin
