ive had watch couple of days, , today first day took work. track daily steps. in past have been using iphone in pocket. on wrist, i'm not sure if can fix accuracy. maybe if understood how tracks steps.
day 1 @ home watch seemed pretty accurate iphone used read. (normal housework, running errands, 45 min morning walk)
day 2 @ work... there 2 parts of morning differ in activity , motion. think having watch on arm might throwing off count.
part 1... 2 hours unload boxes of clothes , hang them on racks. arms using lots of motion. standing in place, working @ brisk pace. , 20-30 minutes of brisk walking while take racks of large store. logged 4500 steps , on par iphone in pocket used show. arm movement didn't seem affect accuracy.
part 2 of day, 3 hours sitting @ desk counting money , doing computer work. it's quick pace hands, sitting down. , no large arm movements first part of day. i'm lucky if log 100 steps during part on day. today had watch on wrist , logged additional 2700 steps!
what's going on? pleasantly surprised watch accurate in part 1 of day, though had lot of arm movements. worried wouldn't accurate, closed iphone in pocket record. sitting 3 hours , logging 2700 steps??
there way recalibrate or fix watch? other tips?
recording steps straight forward. swing arm forward , backwards once , counts 2 steps. there nothing calibrate, modify or change this.
