not sure when started after on of past few updates noticed this. have automatic updates turned off. check periodically when i'm @ home , on wifi. maybe every couple of days or so. can go app store, see updates , either select update or update - normal. once selected shows they're updating , when go home screen or wherever app (in folder or elsewhere) show it's updating. can click on app , pause or wait until it's done updating. can lock iphone , still update in background. can re-open phone later , see apps has been updated. if go app still update. now, if same steps, select each update or update all. start each app , show how left it's needed update in app store when go home screen or hit power button. not show app updating unless leave on main screen. if lock phone or go app , few mins later out of app, still show apps supposed updating, not being updated. it's waiting me stop i'm doing, leave on main screen , update. befor

good news on 4k boot screen front. cross posting on couple of different threads word out: on hunch installed developer beta of macos high sierra , updated nmp's boot rom version mp61.0116.b25 mp61.0116.b44. option key drive picker boot screen works on dell p2715q monitor. imagine work on similar dell p2415q. don't know how many times i've had boot blind , inevitably end in recovery partition takes forever boot before give , plug in hdmi cable. plus dell monitor stupidly unresponsive it's buttons during time -- writes code? aggravation gone. whew. note installed high sierra external drive because have not researched implications of using high sierra early. can install separate partition on main drive if have enough space.   nice see continued (abet slow) progress macos on nmp. still, can't wait next mac pro.... come on apple, take money!
