Equivalent spec (Insurance claim)

hi all
had word insurance claim company willing settle cash irreparable 13” macbook pro (early 2015, i7 3.1ghz, 16gb ram , 512gb ssd).
saying offer cash based on equivalent model new pro touchbar, 16gb ram, 512gb ssd processor offered i5 3.1ghz. it’s faster old laptop have rejected that, because believe should have i7.
question have viable argument claim must receive i7 ? right performance better ?
use cases editing 4k video in imovie/final cut pro, spreadsheet modelling in excel via windows 10 running in parallels. fair bit of video conversion (blu ray itunes).

just old system had i7, new system must have i7 equivalent , won't settle less. complain money spent on insurance premiums. fewer words better in these situations.
