it makes me realize tall , narrow form factor trend going forward , rightfully so. iphone x shares same formula. came 6s plus , had used 8 plus couple weeks before returnng it. on pluses had difficulty reaching far left of screen (i'm right handed , have medium-small hands guys), note 8, im able comfortably maneuver entire screen 1 handed ease, , yet getting benefit of having bigger screen. not thread bash pluses, honest , personal opinion. i'm may offend pluses owners after using note 8, when @ old plus phones, kind of remind me of electronic drawing boards kids @ toys r us, wide form factor , thick bezels such turn off me now.   to each own. 1 never own samsung phone or android phone (went down road couple years ago note 3...that road filled w/potholes), understand being bit turned off dimensions of 8 plus. kept 7 backup/secondary phone reason.

i have 2011 macbook pro, core i7 2.0ghz, 16gb 1600mhz ddr3 ram, 512 samsung evo 840 ssd. still functions amazingly, it's big. i'm looking replace 1 of year's models (2017) can't decide. geekbench machine still destroys current models (within budget ~$1300) , i've been waiting upgrade few years. mid-level photo/video editing, leave @ least 10 tabs open @ times, , that's pretty it. don't care touchbar, that's not issue. portability main desire, so, i'm wondering if should go baseline macbook pro 13.3" or baseline 12" macbook. considering 2015 or 2016 12" macbook, or baseline 2016 13.3" macbook pro. but, again, benchmarks scare me , don't want lose power portability. worth upgrade or should save year , buy top of line 2018 12" macbook should have newer, better chips? or other options should consider? don't mind buying refurbished either. thanks!

i have imac 27, 3.4 late 2013 standard model , want make better booting external ssd disk via tb2. ssd speeds of 500mb/s ok if possible using raid 0 in order higher speeds (or maybe know other solutions getting better speeds sata3 on tb2). have trim support , unit has bootable , support sleep mode on imac. narrowed search these solutions: akitio thunder2 duo pro - hardware raid. trim supported in non raid configurations (i'm not sure if trim support possible in raid). thundertek/px2+2 - pcie enclosure solution. dunno if trim supported i'm thinking possibility of using the thunderbolt 3 (usb-c) thunderbolt 2 adapter apple self powered tb3 enclosure solution cannot find maybe guys have found/tried works? can't see me aligning screen of imac on adhesive tape after opening why i'm looking external booting solutions. if have experience above setups or know better options please share me. thank
