Can I windows 7 computer read from a Tiger Hard drive


my friend's quicksilver tiger went bad ordered new imac (15 days here). in meantime can take out hard drive quicksilver--put in external hard drive enclosure connect work windows 7 laptop , able copy files it. doesn't have lot of data.

nothing wrong hard drive. excited him , new imac!!!

things know. powerpc macs have drives partitioned apm. natively, windows computers cannot read apm partitioned drives (although macs can read ntfs volumes).

additionally, when new imac arrives, friend find drive on mac partitioned guid, apple's partition scheme intel macs. windows based pcs may able read that.

when stick in case , connect drive pc tell needs formatted. so, immediate issue before of install transmac.

having installed allow access drive if pc drive.

now, if friend wants wait imac arrive hook drive imac (while it's in enclosure) , startup process allow him transfer data old drive new imac.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
