issues unlocking with Apple Watch


i got apple watch series 3. have macbook pro 2014 running high sierra. having issues unlocking macbook watch many times. know have setup correctly because work 50% of time.

there distance watch has within laptop? wearing watch , hands on keyboard watch not far. watch screen need on? when works, would've been faster if typed password manually. having similar issues?

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
