iMac Availability Question


sorry if dumb question it's not everyday buy new mac, i'm not sure how works. i'm ready buy imac apple store telling me it's not available in-store pick-up until august 15th. i'm getting base 21" 4k version upgrading ram (16gb) , ssd (512gb).

customizing new imac cause delay or stock new imacs limited @ moment? specific configuration available @ stores or ready immediate shipping?
 

the 512gb ssd appears in short supply. impatient users ordering 27" imacs have switched 1tb ssd quicker shipping. once stock meets demand shipping times 512gb ssd will, of course, improve.

How much is my cMP worth?
