hey community, professional developer , looking buy new macbook pro. why? because coming 2013 model shows ages. many developers, heavily rely on function keys in preferred editors , development environments. see it, 15" offers touch bar , don't think apple ever release 1 without in future. wanted ask, how guys, heavily rely on physical function keys, have accommodate it. need feedback function keys, because resting fingers on keys in debugger instance, can stay focused on screen. if sort of feedback not possible, there way remap function keys other keys? i admit, @ first sight might bit of strange comparison... here's story: had eyes on used late 2015 5k imac (i5 3.3 ghz 2tb fusion drive). ran cheap 2012 mac mini (i7 2.3 ghz) , hesitating: buy imac or upgrade mac mini (easy put in 2tb hdd + ssd home made fusion drive)? surprisingly, geekbench scores similar (with slight advantages newer imac of course), both have same ports. 2 major differences see gpu (radeon r9 m395 vs intel hd 4000) , of course screen - mini can 2560 x 1600. want use main machine. think? side-note: how value 2 year old imac 2015 5k 27" 2tb fusion drive , 8gb ram? looking forward hearing opinions thinking   i sold mac mini 2012 imac 5k 2017. mac mini had 512 gb ssd , intel i7 2,3 ghz. never slow, it's config can work with. big downside of course gpu, hd 4000 outdated, can forget requires gpu power. no gaming, no rendering. it's important know want

hello everyone. decided had see if on here can me. macbook pro retina 15" (2015)'s fans going crazy anything, doesn't have more have empty project in logic open , start going , increasing every little thing add. it's been since got , i've got older macbook pro 15" (classic, 2012) , still handles more extreme project without getting it's fans going newer computer , gets hot , loud when several stuff youtube , flash-ads or alike active. there wrong it? can fix on own? thinking opening , cleaning dust has been since got can't imagine it's dust. not sure why didn't act when got it, guess figured i'd used or might go away (previous computers of mine have had issues 1 bit smaller went away / learnt work around). get's hot fans necessary why this. i'm music/audio-person , not more extreme record 10-15 tracks (mostly audio, software tracks of drums , 1-2 plugins on each channel). hope i'm posting

i setting new ipad, went well. openen photos app. saw photos (probably synced) , photos asked me if photo sharing should turned on. turned on, photos disappeared. logged in on icloud.com , there not see ant photo either. going on? doing wrong? made backup of iphone know photos somewhere. don't dare open photos on iphone i'm afraid photos disappear there well.   i guess got confused because saw photos on new ipad (exactly on iphone), , got popup asking me if want turn on icloud photo sharing. photos gone. going take steps again make sure didn't miss something. @ least photos still on iphone , made fresh itunes backup of iphone make sure don't loose them.   Forums iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch iOS iOS 10

for of upgraded iphone 7, note differences in battery life or same? great know! iphone 7 battery life atrocious. know if there’s difference! apple says same in specs guardian review says better. because used year old phone? noted hour long commute used 25 percent of battery compared 10 on 8. 25 gets used in mine too. coconut battery says phone has 417 cycles, i’ve had since last october. seems me, it’s because of draining. it’s @ 92 percent capacity still. great know i’ll consider upgrading 8!   my experience coming 8 7 battery better. seems lasting ~2 hours longer 7 did. think may have more ios 11 else though. battery life on 7 absolutely tanked when upgraded ios 11 betas , never recovered. apple says battery life on 2 phones should same , teardowns of 8 show battery smaller on 7. i’m wondering if there bug in ios 11 affecting battery life on 7 might fixed in future.
