Unable to use Migration Assistant to set up new MacBook Pro


i have old 2011 mbp , got new 2017 mbp last night. have elgato tb3 dock , planning set new mbp via gigabit ethernet old new via dock. no matter tried not work. turned off wifi point of deleting password wifi network try force migrate on ethernet. not work. turned wifi on , tried migrate via wifi, did not work.

started wonder if fact old mbp's ssd encrypted filevault causing problem. i'm decrypting sdd take @ least overnight.

ideas, encryption problem?

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
