i got weird idea take empty hard drive , put files mac os x on manually in computer slave drive.
possible?
if is, files , how it?
got imac g5 free off craigslist listed broken though needs new hard drive 1 in dead
want working nice mac

didnt want windows none of mac operating systeams supported on computer build
there 2 viable ways os x on drive/partition. 1 running installer, while other using cloning tool clone drive.
dragging , dropping files won't work. if know you're doing , manually go in , set permissions on every file, might work, it's not practical in applications.
there bunch of hidden files outside "system" , "library" folders need come.
in pre-os x days bootable disk dragging , dropping system folder-assuming of course needed extensions present.
