5K iMac 2015 (i5) or 2012 Mac Mini i7


i admit, @ first sight might bit of strange comparison...

here's story: had eyes on used late 2015 5k imac (i5 3.3 ghz 2tb fusion drive). ran cheap 2012 mac mini (i7 2.3 ghz) , hesitating:

buy imac or upgrade mac mini (easy put in 2tb hdd + ssd home made fusion drive)?

surprisingly, geekbench scores similar (with slight advantages newer imac of course), both have same ports.
2 major differences see gpu (radeon r9 m395 vs intel hd 4000) , of course screen - mini can 2560 x 1600.

want use main machine. think?

side-note: how value 2 year old imac 2015 5k 27" 2tb fusion drive , 8gb ram?

looking forward hearing opinions thinking :)
 

i sold mac mini 2012 imac 5k 2017.

mac mini had 512 gb ssd , intel i7 2,3 ghz. never slow, it's config can work with.
big downside of course gpu, hd 4000 outdated, can forget requires gpu power. no gaming, no rendering.
it's important know want mac?

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
