haven't owned computer in 2.5 years. had 13" non-retina mbp before that. have used nothing 6+ , 7+, along ipad air 2 since, , honestly, it's been fine. took job require me work remotely, , new baby, we're managing more pictures used to. work said can either use ancient 17" mbp or own. me , wife have decided 1 have @ home. workload personal use basic email/web browsing/netflix. if i'm using work, i'll using 3 chrome windows each 6-8 tabs open @ time 10 hours straight, including making calls (through 1 of windows on our softphone). light recording music. 1, maybe 2 tracks @ time logic pro x. no synths, heavy multitracking, or that. there reason 15" mbp? i'm leaning towards base 13" non-touch bar version (which can friend who's apple employee 15% off, , ship state no sales tax). went apple store , pulled work setup on , worked flawlessly on 13 , 15. know should 16gb of ram, i'm not sure it's worth
