Choice between 2016 MBP w TB (2.9/256/8) and 2017 MBP w/o TB (2.3/128/8)


hi, have opportunity buy mbp in either of 2 variants (i getting them same price)

1) 2016 mbp tb base model (2.9ghz/256gb/8gb) ~ $1750
2) 2017 mbp without tb base model (2.3ghz/128gb/8gb) ~$1703

usage:
current usage browsing, video streaming , occasional documents work. not heavy app usage @ moment, may change in future.

requirements:
need notebook can above. understand cheaper notebook or ipad can sufficient me right replacing current primary laptop. need proper laptop. if laptop portable enough (just personal preference consider 2016/17 mbp sweet spot)

pricing in country little different. portable laptops here tend priced high. give idea:
same price can dell xps (15-7200u/256gb/8gb/full hd)

hence figured better go mbp. laptop me @ least 5 years. have no prior experience on mac os , try that. simple design , construction appeals me , hence motivation.

if reason feel should avoid mac's can inform me same. if possible can share experience also, me decide.
 

i've used macs last 7 years , both macbook pro's have bought (13 inch), 1 in 2010 , 1 in 2013 both still going strong no issues 2010 still on first battery , 2013 still day bought it.

go 2017, unless need more 2 ports, won't matter usage. go ssd size can afford because media files can killer on space, 4k files.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
