Strange Error: Pages turns on Night Shift-like colors


so updated high sierra beta last night , morning tried open pages document working on. when opened, external display (but not mbp display) changed colors night shift. closed pages, or clicked on window (settings or chrome), display went normal. opened word , no issues.

strange issue have not seen before. help? annoying trying work on pages file in middle of day night shift on. went settings , changed night shift "less warm," issue still appears.

*edit* confirmed same thing when opening numbers, keynote normal.

first picture normal, second when open pages. looks must more distinct in person.

do have auto contrast/brightness on external display?

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
