Apple Issues $1 Billion Green Bond Sale to Fund Renewable Energy

apple today issued $1 billion green bond fund renewable energy generation, according bloomberg.

apple reportedly said plans use proceeds finance projects involving renewable energy resources , energy efficiency, including advancing goal of achieving closed-loop supply chain, through products made using renewable resources , recycled material.

turning debt market, apple able fund sustainability initiatives without tapping offshore cash reserves. dollars subjected 35 percent corporate tax rate if repatriated in united states.

u.s. president donald trump has reportedly proposed offering one-time tax holiday companies apple can repatriate large amounts of foreign cash @ reduced tax rate of between 10 , 15 percent. but, of month, relevant corporate tax laws have yet reformed in country.

apple's bond offering comes 2 weeks after trump withdrew united states paris climate accord, agreement signed on 140 countries vow reduce greenhouse gas emissions in effort mitigate climate change. apple ceo tim cook said trump's decision "wrong our planet."

How much is my cMP worth?
