Question: Battery strange behavior. What to do? What to know?

hi again, macforums friends.

have yet question wanted time ago.
previously, said in thread, have faulty battery , asked measures take using macbook until replace battery.

own 15-inch macbook pro mid-2010, got birthday gift 3 years ago, school work.

i'm in 20s , chill out playing games (specifically hearthstone , heroes of storm, ygopro).

of time spend browsing on reddit or watching youtube vids, going facebook browsing little time.

want set background make know how make use of macbook , me figure out if could've caused harm computer battery.

battery behavior timeline (how behaved time ago now)

• around 1 year/one year , half ago battery gave "replace soon" notice. intermittent, remained there maybe 1 or 2 months went gone, steadily rendered permanent on battery status icon.
• this year's february "replace now" notice appeared on battery status icon, though, computer still behaved normal.
• mid-march when watching yt vids overnight, noticed battery draining while plugged the magsafe adapter, showed 92% remaining charge. proceeded unplug charger, , battery status bumped 100% , didn't dropped there since. (i left computer unplugged time confirm this).
  
• early april when using computer unplugged, shut down. computer's (left) side button shows battery charge full (all green lights turned on when clicked button)
• when connected power , behaved normally, further tests threw that:

1. i use computer 5 minutes unplugged without "heavy-tasking" (as heavy-tasking yt vid is, , upper).
2. i set computer on sleep time (didn't left computer unplugged on sleep more 10 minutes, , i'm exaggerating) until plugged magsafe

• a few days later, after turning off computer, side charge battery indicator turned off abruptly after unplugging computer (it reached third green dot, turned off. when usually, 8 dots should turn on after unplugging though battery didn't hold charge)
• now seems computer took energy supply failure, connected computer power, turned on , ran program named rpcsvchost
• around 10 days ago, when made first thread, "playing" heroes of storm (more like, trying of new hots 2.0 perks) computer turned off , turned on again fans @ max speed until reached login screen.
• the day after that, charger turned light orange, , battery status said charging again, 99% 100% me @ least.
• happened disconnected computer, , didn't shut down. tests lead me know battery behaving during mid-march.
• now today woke , computer turned on connected power, behaving two-weeks ago.

given how life is, turns out can new battery asap (in less 1-month span, hope). want answers if could've done harm battery cause or maybe batt faulty.
have theory could've been faulty since start, maybe that's me. if left battery below 60% when turning off, battery totally depleted (this happened when got computer "brand-new") , far know uncle (previous owner) told me had replace logic board years ago (4 years iirc).

reading, , hope can me find answers.

replace battery. might 1 ifixit.com.
sure buy , use right tools job, well.

if can't replace battery yet, use macbook charger connected. have do.
