report, citing unnamed sources within apple's supply chain, claims suppliers shipping 40 percent of components planned initial production of iphone x.

apple allegedly waiting see how many iphone x pre-orders receives, , monitoring how already-released iphone 8 , iphone 8 plus sell, before ramping production overseas.

however, report mentions suppliers still need step production meet 40 percent requirement due low yield rates @ production lines, more reason slowdown.
