Very strange transmission behaviour?


not sure post have been using torrents fine until today....whenever open torrent it's directed open transmission. click ok , pop message " open executable file? ....is executable file , may contain virus ........are u sure u want open .torrent".

why start of sudden. , doesn't matter torrents from. did use magnet link , never saw message.

strange.

bump - using transmission on mac , have had issues unless use script 1 of members here kindly made allow me connect though still same error message "illegal character found in ip address. ipv6 not supported" - told disable ipv6 tried google , got few solutions unfortunately when tried implement in preferences on el capitan there no option disable 3 dropdown choices of automatically, manaully , local-link. further googling brought terminal command

disable ipv6 in mac os x through terminal
launch terminal, found within /applications/utilities/ directory, , use following commands appropriate situation. note many modern macs have wi-fi cards, rendering ethernet option unnecessary. if mac has both wi-fi , ethernet networking, you’ll want disable ipv6 both interfaces.

turning off ipv6 support ethernet:
networksetup -setv6off ethernet

disabling ipv6 wireless:
networksetup -setv6off wi-fi

can combine both of commands single string disable both wireless , ethernet, use following syntax:

networksetup -setv6off ethernet && networksetup -setv6off wi-fi

sure enter string onto single line issue command properly."

didn't work , gave me error of " ethernet not recognized network service. ** error: parameters not valid."

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
