Pictures in iMessage still sending as JPEG


is else having problems sending pictures in heif instead of jpeg?

have iphone 7 11.0.3 sending heif imageto iphone se (also tried 7). of , devices on ios 11 or high sierra. picture saved heif image in photos on mac shows jpeg when view file type in messages on mac.

clarify:

taking picture on iphone 7 -> sending ios 11 iphone se (and 7) -> check image file type on messages on mac , says jpeg.
 

if share photo or video recorded in new format (heif or hevc), ios 11 or macos high sierra automatically transcode items jpg or h.264 save compatibility conflicts.
it's same mail or imessage or airdrop , conversion happens on fly.

when wont transfer heif mac or pc on cable, can choose settings/photos "keep originals" instead of checking "automatic".

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
