OK, this is just sad. Look at the NUC I can make for less $ than the base mini!


- quad core intel cpu 1.5 ghz, turbo 2.3 ghz (a little slower mini).
- 8 gb ram (twice as mini).
- 256 gb samsung evo 3d nand ssd (blows mini clear out of water).
- video card capable of playing full 4k @ 60hz.
- full windows 10 license (could go $125 cheaper if pirate windows).

total cost $513.96

compared $599.99 mini 5400 spinner, 4gb of ram , no 4k.

nuc run circles around mini in day-to-day performance (opening apps, web browsing, start-up , shutdown, etc., can run monitor @ beautiful 4k resolution @ 60hz, , plays 4k movies without problem.

of $90 less 2014 mac mini , on $200 cheaper if pirate windows.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
