Spontaneous MacBook Death?

earlier today, macbook pro 13" ntb spontaneously died. screen flickered , computer shut off. no matter did, couldn't power on. after calling apple support, able go nearest apple store , laptop replaced new one.

i'm paranoid.

when using macbook when spontaneously died, charging through usb-c hub. possible culprit of macbook dying? remotely possible wrong usb-c hub result in complete , utter death of macbook? short-circuiting? power surge? want avoid outcome again 1000%.

thanks.

i understand being little paranoid. anything's possible in scenario... best products, whether laptop or hub, can defective. no way avoid 1000% (or 100% ;)). however, reputable hub, chances of hub being cause pretty tiny.

model usb-c hub? reputable brand or never-heard-before knockoff? using original apple charger power hub, or did hub come own? using surge protector? how long have had been using hub (i.e. since bought it)? have done googling see if else has had same thing happen hub?
