macOSX system clean before backup and restore


hello everybody,

since having spare time i'd make deep clean os before backup , restore, have system running since 2011 on mbpro restored on 2009 27' imac turned main computer, has gone through several updates, software additions , removal library grew huge , have tons of stuff ripping space, memory , totally unused i'd remove of un needed , unused software free space , making library little thinner, there freeware software me find out unused stuff can safely deleted make system quicker or can check besides startup items achieve weight loss before backup , eventual upgrade highsierra when released?

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
