Worth replacing a gen 2 Apple TV?


we have 2nd generation apple tv (mc572ll/a) hooked nothing special tv, , our tv needs, television enough , not need replacing. apple tv, however, horrible, , has restarted every single time want watch on hbo or netflix or whatever - streams airplayed our phones or computers crash again , again , again. spend of our tv watching (or trying watch) time cursing apple , restarting either device or steam.

don't know tv or apple tv, wonder if failure rate might because apple tv old, , oldness making dodgy, , if got newer 1 spend less time swearing?

or should else entirely?
 

coming has owned every atv since start. highly recommend upgrading @ least atv 4th generation. night & days faster, movies load faster, better ui longshot. plus app store. have 4 of 4th generation myself & have given them gifts family members. myself family members beyond pleased.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
