AppleTV Remote App + Volume Control


just curious if able control tv volume appletv remote app (iphone)?

have 2 set-ups,

tv1 <- soundbar via hdmi port 1 / appletv via hdmi port 2. remote app controls volume no problem + turn on/off, functionality

on other set, volume controls function stopped

tv2 <- appletv via hdmi port 1

in past volume controls worked, swapped out tv1 , had soundbar + appletv connected , worked, in past standalone tv<->appletv 4 volume controls worked. not sure changed (no tv updates seem affect it).
 

it may lack of hdmi-cec in tv2?

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
