I think I got Malware or a Virus...Let me know if I fixed it!


today (around 3:15pm est) believe got type of malware / virus on imac (running high sierra). i’m not sure if did (or didn’t) i’d rather safe sorry.

can through steps went through restore hard drive previous hour (before supposed malware/virus) occurred.

1) retarted imac screen

2) restore time machine

3) selected time machine

4) chose backup 2pm (before potential malware / virus)

6) erased current macintosh hd

7) turned off filevault (i assume can turn on once restored?

did correctly? wanted act if went in time , computer in hour leading possible malware / virus occurred.

let me know thoughts/feedback.
 

you restored backup it’s impossible if backup had issues. malware may have been present beforehand. it’s malware, looks worse scary error messages.
