probably going lengthy post - sorry --
i've been working configure ten new macbook pro's our ad domain. through many days of pain, i've determined there's sort of date/time problem version 10.12.4 of sierra. can consistently reproduce problem. if leave os @ 10.12.3 (shipped version), problem doesn't occur.
other details: location services turned off time zone set. option "set date , time automatically" set, using default apple time servers. here's pattern:
new out of box. create admin account, apply updates. far good.
join computer our (ad 2003) domain (please, no comments on ad 2003; we're working on it)
reboot computer. have date of 12/31/2037, , time varies depending on time of day.
if go in date/time control panel, , unlock padlock, date / time corrects itself.
of familiar ad know, correct date/time critical. don't want turn off option automatically set date/time dst reasons. users getting these computers aren't day-to-day mac users.
else encounter this, , find solution (aside not using 10.12.4)?
quote when chief justice john g. roberts jr. visited rensselaer polytechnic institute last month, he asked startling question , 1 overtones of science fiction. “can foresee day,” asked shirley ann jackson , president of college in upstate new york, “when smart machines, driven artificial intelligences, assist courtroom fact-finding or, more controversially even, judicial decision-making?” chief justice’s answer more surprising question. “it’s day that’s here,” said, “and it’s putting significant strain on how judiciary goes doing things.” may have been thinking case of wisconsin man, eric l. loomis, who sentenced 6 years in prison based in part on private company’s proprietary software. mr. loomis says right due process violated judge’s consideration of report generated software’s secret algorithm, 1 mr. loomis unable inspect or challenge. click expand... https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/05/...by-a-software-programs-secre...
