iMac vs. iMac Pro for Recording Music

like many of you, i've been waiting patiently upgrade imac , today it's here. goal use next desktop record music, using logic pro. use fair amount of virtual instruments , lot of audio editing. beyond music, though, i'd venture moderate photoshop , final cut work, primarily, i'll using record , mix music. based on that, , wanting keep while, thinking of ordering following imac:

  • 4.2ghz quad-core intel core i7, turbo boost 4.5ghz
  • 8gb 2400mhz ddr4
  • 1tb ssd
  • radeon pro 580 8gb video memory
my questions are:

1. enough horsepower sophisticated projects in logic? instance, if needed run dozens of tracks of virtual instruments, or mix lot of audio plugins, etc., run hiccups? or imac pro service me better? ideally, i'd not spend money, particularly if it's overkill.

2. plan upgrade ram on this. @ least in interim, 32 gb of ram suffice needs or 64 gb necessary? more ram can get, better, @ least now, bare minimum sufficiently tasks done?

thanks!

dozens of tracks nothing, current kabylake imac fine you, wait , it'll better imac maybe .25-.5 more performance?

32 gb of ram fine also

smallest video card can get, don't need audio , fcpx run fine
