2008 iMac hard drive died cannot reinstall?


i trying fix 2008 imac. trying white screen folder question mark bouncing. replaced hard drive , put again.

trying boot usb drive yosemite on it. (it's bootable disk texted on laptop , works)

when restart imac , hold key combination, doesn't ever work.

if hit no keys goes same bouncing question mark box had other hard drive.

if hold "c" key
or "option" key
shows white screen mouse. nothing else.

i'm @ end if knowledge of how take finish 1 up???

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
