Swap HD from newer MBP to Older MBP?


hey all,

new around here, have found many answers questions in these forums in past.

current situation made me register. had 2011 13" mbp die due drink spill, logic board done hd fine. wondering if swap hard drive "newer" machine 2009 15" mbp that's been sitting around.

able find threads swapping old hds newer machines, never reverse i'm not sure if work.

older machine running latest version el capitan , newer machine running sierra before met demise.

love advice.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
