Placeholder icons show instead of normal icons all over the place


hey guys, updated high sierra day came out. ever since, have random icons in random places turning placeholder icon. icons load normally, don't. example yesterday safari icon placeholder in dock, after ran "killall dock" in terminal, safari icon went normal, mail icon placeholder. i've attached examples.
