Incorrectly shut down terminal elevated to admin rights


when logged in standard user elevated sudo command terminal administrator rights. however, after done, incorrectly closed terminal. risk run , how overcome it?

run os x 10.11.6.
 

none session dead done in no longer applies when starting new terminal. using sudo command last long in terminal still kept open, times out after period of time reason 5 minutes pops head after need re-enter password execute sudo command.

edit: not done goes away if edited .bashrc example read , loaded new settings or other file edited , saved likewise. temporary setting environment variable on command line gone though.
