Resolved 1080 TI's & GT120 in Win10 = Big Headache!

hello all,

upgraded gpus in 2010 5,1 cmp dual gtx-680’s dual gtx-1080 ti’s. 680’s flashed mac roms had boot screens. figured i’d use gt120 boot screens if needed in new build.

works flawlessly in macos 3 cards installed, 2 1080’s , gt120. in windows 10 not good. i’d keep 3 cards installed easy access boot screens if needed. windows works 2 1080’s, windows works fine gt120, if try boot windows 3 cards 1080 , gt120 drivers conflict , black screens on boot. i’ve tried ms drivers, apple drivers , direct nvidia gt120. have issues conflicting 1080’s.

guess have couple questions.

1. has been able gt120 live harmoniously along side 1080’s in win 10?

2. there slot-powered gpu may better choice, more compatible, gt120?

3. other ideas besides leaving 120 in drawer until needed?

i’d win 10 ignore 120 nothing plugged windows has major issues it.

in advance ideas !

you tried apple/ms/nvidia's drivers, in end, come/are made nvidia. think gt120 not supported nvidia anymore, hence possible driver conflict.

did try de-activating (the gt120) in windows device manager? it's not guaranteed, might fix issue, since windows won't load it's drivers way.

ps: checked on nvidia's site, latest available drivers gt120 in windows predate 1080 release, have drivers work 120 not 1080 , vice versa, i'm cause issue, device manager trick should job.
