most reviews/video tests i've seen aren't showing iphone 8's camera capable of. they're showing default/stock capability rather maximum capability, worse. understand why they're done way, quality severely degraded compared true quality.
here's "test videos" show:
notice 720p quality awful dynamic range? these videos 4k resolution (though screenshotted through youtube - ones @ bottom), standard bitrate 50 mbps. other apps allows double bitrate 100 mbps , therefore double detail quality in shot. hugely important, when downscaled/compressed. detail subtle affects quality. it's crazy people excited on 4k don't realize quality being degraded low bitrate, , it's possible far better quality.
here's camera truly capable of, when dynamic range, exposure, color aesthetic, framing etc maximized through editing. of these youtube vid screenshots further edited hypercinematic.
i forward getting iphone x
