Value vs Top Tier?
so in market new phone after borrowing iphone 7+ someone. not in rush, having tough time deciding between value purchase vs going in iphone 8/oled/edition/x.
value purchase, thinking lg g6, lg v30 (on sale), htc u11, google pixel xl 2 (on sale). lg g6, see alternative samsung. type of phone want offers high caliber screen, processor, plenty of ram, longevity 2 years, top caliber camera, cell phone payment system, strong battery life, facial/iris detection.
think would've been set s8+, nah didn't happen. looking @ lg g6 @ possibly $300-$350 range before buy one. it's on cusp of considering dropped $390 , $400 last month.
whereas iphone desire most. spending $850-$1000 mind numbing. yes, sold s7 $315 , sell se $250-$300, that's still dent in wallet. wait t-mobile offer trade in deal see if can $300-$400 in trade in value offer through bill credit plus getting 8 $600 or so, making price more tolerable.
want iphone 8, discretionary income take huge hit. latest processor, "galaxy caliber" phone apple pay, dual camera system, sufficient ram, high caliber 18:9 oled screen, minimal bezels, longevity app updates/os updates, strong battery life, faceid, , can use 2 years comfortably. idk if can use lg g6 long. head says lg g6 when it's more affordable, heart says iphone.
thoughts?
s8+ owner here. considering lg v30 few reasons.
#1. s8+ oled isn't punchy , vibrant note 5 can't explained it. looking try lgs version of oled on phone.
#2. s8+ while having more screen real estate ends being smaller note 5 webpages imgur reddit when opened defaults smaller aspect ratio on s8+ on note 5 16:9 opens bigger.
#3. s8+ skinny , harder text on lg v30 wide note 5.
#4. s8+ qualcomm 835 , radio combo gets amazing signal reception , fast lte data.
#5. save discretionary income s8+ $19.80 12 months can jump new device.
#6. next year when iphone 8 plus comes out i'm jumping ship apple. 5.8" iphone no bezels or home button gonna small.
