hi,
awaiting new imac 27" should arrive week. purchased 64 gb of recommended ram ( https://eshop.macsales.com/item/other world computing/2400ddr4s64s/ ). question is,
option 1: matter if install ram upgrade 'before' turn on computer first time?
or
option 2: should boot first time existing oem ram......then turn machine off , install upgrade ram?
configuration posted below.

-16gb 2400mhz ddr4
-1tb ssd
the reason doing option 2, guarantee imac delivered in 100% functioning condition.
cautious guy, , therefore go option 2. because know brain torture me if replace ram first, , computer won't turn on
