Late 2009 imac upgrade to 2.5 SSD with OWC


hi

have bought kit owc

owc digital thermal, smc compatible in-line solution apple 2009-2010 imac 21.5" , 27" models

and

newertech adaptadrive 2.5" 3.5" drive converter bracket.


installation of drive , easy , went fine.

in installation video owc show how attach thermal sensor on 3.5 standard drive.
in top of video wrote:

"if using ssd drive attach thermal cable on drive next sata connection".

did that... imac fans still run full speed.

wrong place attach thermal sensor?
should have been on off ssd?

i put mine next top connector. no fan problems. find hard believe location cause of problem. have mid-'11 , connector different gave me. you're right, instructions vague , wondering same i'm sure doesn't go on back.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
