Why is Photo Library not converted to HEIF?


hi,

wondering, there way, did miss on issue of converting old photos heif?
cool if apple offer automatically transcode our old icloud photo library heif , hevc content.
save memory.. both these new formats amazing!!
 

i agree! love new formats in terms of storage, , supposedly color quality touch better well.

however, on device, pre-existing content not converted automatically heif/vc upon updating, nor there way within photos app. new photos taken converted, provided have high efficiency capture turned on in camera settings.
