Deleting "staff" from permissions

what consequences have if delete "staff" group permissions on home folder? have created "guest" account (i can't enable regular guest account since use file vault) standard privileges, can still click on home folder , see list of folders have inside it, if "staff" added group under folder privileges. have done deleting "staff" group , adding administrators instead.

mistake? or doesn't matter?

most new folders , files created in user's home directory created global read access. hide them other users, need change permissions appropriate.

example, macos default user folders -- downloads, music, etc. -- have file mode 700, prohibits other users accessing them. files, want file 600 same purpose -- except executable scripts, require 700.

changing staff admin group might okay. i'd nervous doing in case apple have non-root service or task that, say, scans users' home directories. so, keep eye on system.log, in case.

note new files , folders create need permissions changed.
