apple today announced expanding "today @ apple" educational sessions of 495 retail stores around world in may.

"today @ apple" offer programs more 60 different hands-on sessions in creative skills. free sessions, have been offered @ apple's flagship union square store in san francisco since last year, cover topics such photography, videography, music, coding, art, , design.
many sessions taught highly-trained creative pros, apple describes "liberal arts equivalent" technical geniuses. in select cities, apple says world-class artists, photographers, , musicians teach sessions "basics , how-to lessons" "professional-level programs."

"today @ apple" cater skill levels , ages, special programs such teacher tuesday , kids hour targeted towards families , educators respectively. other sessions focus on professional software such final cut pro x , logic pro x, or coding swift playgrounds app ipad.
apple said each of stores receive large displays created "today @ apple" sessions. each store have updated seating , sound. apple has renovated dozens of existing retail stores these next-generation features since 2015, dozens more locations follow year.

apple has been redesigning stores under leadership of retail chief angela ahrendts, former ceo of luxury fashion brand burberry. ahrendts wants position apple stores not shopping destinations, gathering places community. "meet me @ apple," envisions saying.
