Bang for buck macbook pro. GHZ/clock vs Processor speed


hello!

i'm in market new macbook pro replace 2009 2.53 ghz 15'' mpb , i'm wondering wisest choice , why...

i've narrowed down following:

-13 inch, 2.9 ghz, 256 gb
-13 inch, 3.1 ghz, 256 gb
-15 inch, 2.6 ghz, 256 gb

makes biggest difference in performance? clock speed, or processor? don't want spend money 2.6 ghz 15" if it's not noticeably better performing 2.9 or 3.1 ghz 13"
 

it depends on do. 15" has quad core cpu perform specialised tasks twice fast compared 13" models. if talking normal everyday computing, go base 13". 15" more expensive because paying other components gpu , larger screen.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
