APFS on upgrade?


so happen if upgraded macbook pro high sierra? ssd converted apfs on fly? or apfs apply first time clean install? want pros of apfs, don't clean installing os on mac day-to-day tool cannot afford spend time clean installing , restoring data.

far know, 1 cannot switch file system on fly, i'm wondering magic apple going do.
