Unable to install OS


i got used imac wiped hd , can't os install on it.

don't have install disks. have usb stick mavericks installer on buddy gave me. can boot , after initiate install fails 5 seconds in "a recovery partition cannot created".

after doing little research have found other threads suggesting there isn't enough space on drive partition created tried resizing partition still fail.

after further search have not been able find new try i'm not sure go here...

quit terminal . .

continue install.

should install ok.

note : date mavericks installation.

download 10.9.5 combo upgrade. ( don't use software update upgrade ! ).

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
