Temperature & Fan Speed (noise)


i new member of macrumors threads , pretty imac rookie, feel free ignore me and/or tell me have run amok.

interested in buying fancy new imac soon, , i'd make intelligent, experience-based choice. noise , temperature 2 of main concerns.

seems that, relevant these issues, there 5 different 27" imac models:
#1 - 3.4 i5, rp570
#2 - 3.5 i5, rp575
#3 - 4.2 i5, rp575
#4 - 3.8 i5, rp580
#5 - 4.2 i7, rp580

appreciate if new 27" imac purchasers post experiences -- specifying imac configuration, task performed (gaming, editing, whatever), , component statuses (cpu & gpu temperatures , fan speed).

love order i7 model (#5 above), useless if noisy.

MBP extremely slow, HDD cable replaced, what next?

How much is my cMP worth?
