Linux and windows 10

yeah so, windows 10 starting annoy me , don't think can trust due forced updates , other issues, have barely installed on machine if tells anything, long , short think going give linux try on box

know can boot live iso drive. since i'm using ryzen 7 cpu , 1080 gtx (overkill linux box sure) i'm wondering if there going driver issues. in other words need test things out before totally remove windows.

can ssd or clean nvme drive , pop first 1 out, seems bit of hassle, or can partition , install along windows on current drive. or totally overwrite windows drastic , may want win10 here , there.

partitioning current drive cheapest option , can use clean 3tb hard drive storage (for both systems)

thoughts?

the nvidia drivers on linux fine make sure use 17.04 or 17.10. i'd clone windows drive drive , store write on windows drive. additional drives should in exfat , formatted in windows. i'd consider linux mint varient ubuntu since unity going away , there's no real point in getting used dead desktop.
